Putin could cripple the West without going to war by
continuing to block grain exports from Ukraine.
This would lead to famine in developing countries
and hence to overwhelming mass migration to the West.
We already have that...
Just what I was thinking, but I guess it could get worse. Perhaps the wonderful EU could organise the grain to be exported by road and rail, avoiding Ukrainian ports? there must be a way around the problem.
If they turn up emaciated then they need asylum. What percentage would you be expect that to be?
We have had scores of famine appeals in my lifetime and I don't recall floods of refugees turning up in dinghies then. Anyway we don't have an excess of wheat. That will be in Russia who also produce it so they need to go there.
